The Stripey and White Ones don’t get excited about squirrels. Birds, yes. The random ant that shows up mid-summer, most definitely. They don’t care about these furry potents of doom.

This year I moved from Cambridge, MA to the Pacific Northwest and the squirrels here are small and black. At first I was worried that they'd be killed for coats, but they're everywhere. They seem to be doing fine.
